The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine

Rachel Caine is the author of authors. Like, for real. Her books are just so good! And what I really like is that she doesn't take that long to write the next book. I mean, sure, it takes time to write it; don't all good books?
The point is, Rachel Caine's books have filled my mind. They're honestly all I ever think about and I have every calendar in my house and on electronics marked for the next book to be published by Rachel Caine.
The first book in the Morganville Vampires is Glass Houses. I thought the cover was absolutely beauteous (the rest of her book covers are too) and the whole story line was even better!

Our main character is Claire, and she is pure genius. Seriously. I hate those weak female characters that always need saving. Claire, she's smart. Super smart. But being super smart leads to being beaten up.
Claire's just moved to Morganville, Texas to go to college and things aren't looking too good. The queen of the school, or queen bitch, Monica Morrell, hates Claire with a passion. She just doesn't like her. And it doesn't help that Claire has to be a smart alec whenever Monica confronts her.
After a really bad encounter with Monica and her friends, Claire decides it's time to leave the dorms in her college and find somewhere else to stay.
What she finds is the Glass House.
I refuse to give anything away from there on out, so yeah. But Claire starts to notice how odd everything is in Morganville. Like, what's with the people with the bracelets that say they have protection? Why are the streets completely empty at night?
Those questions also spiked my curiosity even though the cover gave it away. Morganville Vampires.
Any who, now that we have that figured out, we got a whole lot of action, adventure, and romance throughout the whole series.

Now, if you don't like it at first, do not give up on it. I repeat, do not give up on it!! I mean I was hooked from the very first chapter, but I don't know if it'll be the same for others.
And when I see those reviews of people who hate the books, I'm honestly left speechless. I mean, I thought Morganville Vampires was pure genius! Maybe even a work of art!
But I don't understand how someone could not like it.
So, feel free to read this awesome book! I assure you that you will not regret it.
Fear not ,though, if you are one of those vampire hating people. There are tons of great non-vampire books out there and rest assure that I will most definitely write something about it.
