Okay, so this series is officially the bomb. Obviously by the gorgeous covers, you can see that this series deals with hot and sexy romance. (And the cover models? Delish) (Mainly the guy, though ;))
I love this series with a freaking passion and it was just so outrageously enticing.
Katy is our main character girl, and I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't read this series and/or want to, but Katy is that type of girl main character that thinks she can be the hero in everything and always wants to help. And she makes a helluva lot of stupid mistakes. But the mistakes are what makes the book the amazing story it is. Even if it makes me want to strangle her.
Anywho, time to introduce the hot guy on the cover!!Daemon Black is the sexy dude, yes. (The cover model's name is Pepe Toth, though) Daemon has an huge secret that will you leave you in shock, but I thought it was freaking cool!!
Yes, this is also one of those paranormal romances. But not one of those paranormal romances. Daemon is not a vampire. Or a wolf, or whatever is the new supernatural.
Daemon is an alien.
Now, don't run off, screaming 'ET'. He is not this weird looking green martian thing in disguise. I think his true form is astonishingly beautiful, but I refuse to give it away. Just know that it's not something slimy and ugly.
Back to the point, Daemon Black is an alien. And he doesn't need Katy, his new nextdoor neighbor, blowing his cover or anything. But Katy gets acquainted with Daemon's sister, Dee, and next thing you know, he's forced to put up with her.
Now, my favorite thing about the first book, Obsidian, was the constant banter between Katy and Daemon. I mean, the witty remarks sarcastic retorts, and rude comments? Classic! I even laughed out loud at most parts.
I mean, you can just tell that they were going to end up together. Like the covers don't already give that away. But, the whole story that brings them together was just amazing. Because when Katy learns of Daemon's true forms, she's affected by it. And now, she's a glowing christmas tree for Daemon's enemies.
I've never read anything like the Lux series and I wish I came across books like this more often. And when I recommended it to my friends and they read it, and they shared my views of it, I felt accomplished. Now, we have marked calenders and countdowns together of when the next book will come out and trust me, we are highly anticipating it.
Also check out Jennifer L. Armentrout's hot series: Covenant
I haven't gotten to read Covenant yet, but my friends say it's the bomb. ;)
